AMCAN Endurance Promotions LLC Blue Water Triathlon (est. 2007)
Thank you for supporting the Blue Water Triathlon. 2010 will be the fourth year for this event and we are very excited. We are happy to announce that we have renewed our relationship with 3Disciplines Racing.
The first heat of the race will start at 7:45am. We are doing this in an attempt to beat church traffic at the corner of M-25 and Keewahdin. If bikes cross that intersection just before 8:00am or just after 9:00am, the likelihood of bikes being stopped due to traffic conditions increases and we'd like to avoid that as much as possible. Doing this last year allowed us to successfully avoid reported bicycle stops completely...and that was with 300 racers! Packet pickup: Saturday, August 21st 2:00pm - 4:00pm Sunday, August 22nd 6:00am - 7:15am *Please do not be late for packet pick up as you will not be allowed to race. This is one of the most beautiful parks in the state and is situated just north of the Blue Water Bridge on Lake Huron. The swim will take place right at Lakeside Park in Lake Huron. As Lake Huron flows into the St. Clair River about a mile south of the park, the current may be a little stronger than you're use to. There will be lifeguards and St. Clair County Sheriff Department Marine Rescue on site for your safety. The bike route runs westward on M-136 and back. Port Huron Police Department and St. Clair County Sheriff Department will be stationed throughout the course for your safety...please be aware of their presence and thank them (and the wonderful volunteers) whenever you get a chance. The run route runs southward along the lakeshore and the St. Clair River. This is a very scenic run. Volunteers will be stationed throughout the course to assist you.
